The Milaca Area Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, understanding and sharing the history of the Milaca area. Founded in 1984 as a genealogical society, MAHS agreed to take ownership of the Civic Club’s historical objects when the Club disbanded in the early 1990s. Since that time, the collection has grown manyfold, and the Museum has exhibits highlighting Milaca’s past, as well as a reference room with many local history resources.
The Milaca Museum is located in the Historic Milaca City Hall, a WPA building on the National Register of Historic Places. The Museum is open April through September, Wednesday through Friday 1-5 p.m., and by appointment.
