The purpose of the society is the collection, preservation and dissemination of
knowledge about the history of Clearwater County and to relate it to the history of
the state of Minnesota. CCHS was organized in 1968 and operates a museum in
Shevlin MN that is open year round Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm
and by appointment. Admission is free.
