The mission of the Winona County Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and interpret materials that document the human history of Winona County. Founded in 1935, the WCHS operates three museums: the Winona County History Center, the Rural Heritage Museum, and the Bunnell House.

The History Center is open daily 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and the Bunnell House and Rural Heritage Museum are open seasonally.
