The Nobles County Historical Society was founded in 1932 to collect, exhibit and interpret the history of Nobles County Minnesota and its people. NCHS’s home is the Nobles County Heritage Center which is housed in the historic Worthington Armory building. It is located at 225 Ninth St., Worthington. The large multi-level building has been restored in 2022 to its former glory with respectful updates for a modern time, and it is there that the treasures of Nobles County are preserved for future generations. NCHS also operates Pioneer Village, a seasonal open air museum that re-creates the settlement period of Nobles County.
