Description

"Shining new spinning wheel of pine and ash. Name plate in gold at side with words: "Made by Selmer Alfson, Cyrus, Minn. 1974." The maker of this treasure and may like it is a retired carpenter. To keep busy he started making these small and smaller spinning wheels and other objects. This was given to the museum as an inspiration to others as to what can be done at age 90."
The table is parallel to the floor. It has a gently curved treadle, 12 carved spokes to the big wheel, and 6 hooks on each arm of the flyer.
