Description
Gearhart's 1908 Family Knitting Machine. Clamps on to table top. Metal crank on the right hand side with wooden handle. When the crank is turned, the mechanism rotates around a cylinder to move hooks up and down and place the yarn in each needle, knitting a tube. The yarn feeds from above.

The current cylinder being used is a size 60, employing size 10 needles.

Extra parts not attached: bobbin (in use); 3 cylinders (72, 100, and a 54 which has needles and a metal band); 1 wire band; heel hook; work hook; weight with hook; extra weight; set-up; an assortment of needles sizes 10, 12, 18; one screw for unknown use.
