Bodice: Brown satin wedding gown bodice. The bodice is machine sewn and hand hemmed. It has a fold down collar. Around the edge of the collar is 1/2" cream, light brown, and gold metallic embroidered flowers on vines. There is one hook and eye on the collar. The front of the bodice closes with 17 alternating hooks and eyes. It has a rounded pointed yoke with six 5/8" wide pleats on each side of the opening. Around the yoke, down the opening on each side, and around the bottom waist is the same flower embroidered trim as on the collar. There are two darts on each front side from the waist to the breast. The sleeves are leg-of-mutton. It is gathered at the elbow. The end of the sleeves are slit on the inside and have flower embroidered trim around the front. The back of the bodice has princess seams. The bottom front and back of the bodice come to a point. The inside is lined with brown and white checked cotton?. It has 13 stays. There is a tan loop on each inside back armhole. There is an inner belt of brown and white checked cotton that is 1 1/4" wide and has two hooks and eyes. On the inside top back written in black ink is "Patterson". Condition - There is a small hole and small frays on the right collar. There is light staining on the lining under the arms.
