Bodice: Pink tone-on-tone brocade satin gown bodice. The bodice is pink satin with brocade pink flowers and stems. The bodice has 13 stays and 14 hooks and eyes. There is an inside belt that has two strips on each side with 2 hooks and eyes to cinch the 22-inch waist. The manufacturing information is stitched on the left belt on the satin. In cream stitching is "L. Lemoine/12 Brd. des Capucines PARIS". The belt is grosgrain. A drawstring secures the neckline. There is a sachet that is rectangle satin with a gold grosgrain ribbon tie. It is attached to the drawstring. The inside top of the bodice is lined with pink tulle. The bodice and sleeve ends are pink sheer tulle. The bodice of it has vertical pleats. The bottom of the bodice is lined with pink satin. The sleeves are short and are puffy with satin brocade on the top half and tulle on the bottom half. There is a large tulle bow on each sleeve at the end of the brocade. There is pointed ecru lace with flowers and vines (Valenciennes?) around the neck and it extends 8" down the bodice. Under the lace is a 5" long layer of tulle. On the right at the top of the neck line is a pink tulle flower. The neck line is rounded. The dress was made by L. Lemoine, 12 Brd. Des Capucines, Paris, France.
