Description
Coat: Woman's black wool coat. The coat is street-length. There is a slight v- neck and no collar. There are 4 large black celluloid? buttons on each side and buttonholes on the right side. There is a 1 3/8" wide vertical stripe of wool with pointed ends on each side of the buttons and on each side of the back that goes the length of the coat. There is a 1 1/2" wide vertical stripe of wool with pointed ends going over each shoulder. Around it is black piping that forms 3 loops around the wool stripe pointed ends. Around the neck is black velvet that is 1 1/2" wide at the widest trimmed with 1/4" wide black thread braid trim with a looped edge, then 3/4" wide wool, then 1/4" wide braid trim. In the front, this points down to look like a collar, and in the back it comes to a point on each side. In the center of the points in the back is a small horizontal velvet stripe with 4 rows of thin braid, then braid, then wool, then braid with a slightly pointed bottom. In the front, under the fake collar is velvet along the opening, then braid on each side, then wool, and then braid. This comes to a point at the center of the opening and ends at the first button. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders. The cuffs have a 7/8" wide black velvet band with a 1/4" wide braid with loops on each side. The inside of the coat is lined with black soft cotton?
