Description

Basket quilt. It has 90 seven inch squares. The squares are alternately plain white with zig zag stitching in rows 1.5" apart and white with pieced baskets in different colors and fabrics. The lining is white with a narrow pink figured hand sewn edge. One of the basket squares has the initial H and another has HER.
It was made by Harriet J. Rising in 1845. She was born July 31, 1816 and passed away in 1898.
