Description
Bill Blair, right, president of the Glenwood Jaycees, turns over to Mayor Russell Torfin, a check for $2,500 for the purchase of a civil defense rescue truck, which will be used in conjunction with the city's civil defense setup. The Jaycees' contribution will be matched by the federal civil defense organization. Don Kelly, center, says the money was originally earmarked for the Jaycee's building fund, but due to the high building costs, members decided to put the money to good use and purchase much needed civil defense equipment. The money was raised through bingo profits.
