Description
Under the watchful eye of instructor Connie Jacobson, Mrs. Harlan Cook of Grove Lake practices the art of moving a patient in bed. The "patient" in the picture is Mrs. Alva Daniels of Grove Lake. These women are but two of the 86 enrolled in the Red Cross home nursing training program in the county. Classes are currently being held at the Glenwood Community hospital and the Lowry clinic. Another class is being planned for Starbuck. The course is for 14 hours, consisting of seven sessions of two hours each. instructors are Miss Jacobson, Olivia Peterson and Mrs. Dean Schluter. County Red Cross officials have expressed satisfaction of the interest shown in the program in Pope county.
