Book titled "The Shakopee Story" by Julius Coller, II. The book has hard red cloth covers and a bound spine. Printed in white on the front cover are the title, author's name and illustrations of a cityscape, St. Mark's Church, an Indian headress and a peace pipe. The book is 772 pages long and includes a dedication, foreword, preface, table of contents, list of illustrations, photographs, bibliography and index. It is a history of Shakopee from 1682 to 1960.
There is a handwritten inscription in blue on the front free endpaper which reads, "To Shakopee's most illustrious Son Maurice H. Stans. August 1960/ Julius A Coller." Coller, II, Julius
