Book titled, "Business and Environment/Toward Common Ground" (A). It was published by the Conservation Foundation of Washington D.C. The book is filled with research and political speaches which focus on how businesses and environmentalist work together. One of the articles in the book is a speech that was given by Maurice Stans titled, "Wait a Minute". The article is about how environmentalists push the public into pressing politicians for change in business practices to save the environment without giving thought to what the outcome of the change will be. Stans sites several examples including the ban on phosphate, which gave what to alternatives which were worse than phosphate itself. The book was a gift to Maurice Stans from the Foundation in appreciation to him for allowing them to publish his speech- A letter clarifying this was in the book between pages 124 and 125, marking the beginning of Stans' article. The letter is from William K. Reilly, President of The Conservation Foundation. It was dated November 30, 1977 (B).
