Book titled "The Textile Wrangle/ Conflict in Japanese-American Relations, 1969-1971." The book is about the conflict that arose between Japan and the United States during the Nixon years, regarding the export of textiles from Japan to America. There are two letters stapled in the book. The first letter is From Maurice Stans and it is dated May 1, 1980. The letter explains some of Stans' criticisms of the book, in particular that the authors portrayed him and Stanley Nehmer as, "petty dictators unable to talk or act reasonably." The second letter is from Stanley Nehmer dated May 13, 1980. In the letter Nehmer agrees with Stans complaints and assures Stans that the earlier drafts were far worse and that he spent some time with Destler, "to help him and at the same time improve it."
