Papers related to Scott County 4-H clubs. The main groups are: Helping Hand(s), Friendly Fellows, Jolly Workers, and the Eagle Creek Eagles. These clubs covered the areas of Belle Plaine, Shakopee, Savage, Prior Lake and Jordan. 4-H is a youth organization administered by the United States Department of Agriculture, largely through individual state extension offices. These clubs were administered by the University of Minnesota Extension Program. The four Hs stand for "Head, Heart, Hands, and Health." The goal of the organization is to engage children through agriculturally based programs that focus on citizenship, healthy living, science, engineering, and technology.
