Papers from the Louisville Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. The company began in Marystown and, later, had offices in Jordan. In the 1940s the company also changed its name to the Louisville Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company. It was in operation from approximately 1896 to the mid-1960s.

This record grouping consists of Annual Statements sent by the company to the Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Minnesota. The statements are soft cover booklets. Each includes the name of the company, its directors and its officers. The annual statement also includes a written listing of cash received for policies issued, cash received through other means (savings, bonds, etc), disbursements paid out in the form of losses, rent, office supplies, salaries, etc., money on hand, other assets and liabilities, policy premiums and losses, bank records, and salaries. Each is signed by a company representative and notarized by a local notary public. Each also includes general information about the company and instructions for filling out the booklet. Boegeman, F.
