Description
Cream colored card concerning a service given by Fathers Titus and Johann Joseph at the St. John's Church in Jordan, Minnesota from 6-13 December 1914. The card is written in German, typed in a Gothic script called Fraktur. One side features a colored drawn image of Jesus with a lam and sheep, the word "MISSIONANDENKEN" (roughly translates as Mission Keepsake) underneath. The other side offers a list from 1-8 to "chain" your soul. This card is very loosely translated (from help of Google Translate).
1. regularly receive the sacraments of penance and altar.
2. Do not lose your morning and evening prayers. Find daily faith, hope and love before going to sleep explore your sails and experience true remorse.
3. Listen to the fair on Sundays and public holidays
4. Join at least one club in your community.
5. You are required to contribute to the maintenance of the Church
6. Avoid the opportunity for the sermons as things, expressions, and places that irritate the soul
7. Every day, the righteous God's Mother, ask for the grace of a blessed death
8. Remember the last four things - death - judgment - heaven - hell, and you keep persevering until the end
