Description
American Legion shirt. The shirt is long sleeved navy blue cotton with two front pockets. Embroidered in gold thread above the right pocket is "Post 144" and above the left pocket is "Belle Plaine." Two round American Legion logo patches are sewn onto the shirt's collar. The buttons down the front of the shirt and at the cuffs are blue plastic. The buttons on the shoulders and front pockets are brass and metal American Legion logos. A white and red label at the back of the neckline gives maker's information. Shirt was worn by the donor's father, who was a legionnaire with the Belle Plaine American Legion Post 144.
