Description

Oval shaped clear glass Ball brand canning jar. Embossed on the facing side of the jar are a rectangle with the text "Hormel/Good Food". Embossed at the bottom edge of the jar is "H/56 58/5". The mouth of the jar has spiral glass rings. The lid is silver colored metal with spiral rings, embossed "Ball" in center top. Piece has a red rubber ring with a small rubber extension. Inside top is a milk glass insert. "A" is the glass jar, "B" is the metal and glass lid and "C" is the rubber insert.
