Ledger of birth and death records for Eagle Creek Township. The ledger has hard black book cloth covers reinforced with brown leather at the corners and spine, paper pages printed in red and black, and a bound spine. Adhered to the facing cover of the book is a label with the text "Register of Births". Adhered to the facing back cover is a label with the text "Register of Deaths". The book contains a register of births by year (entries track the date, name, sex, color, place of birth, parents' names, parent's place of birth, father's occupation, and date registered) and a register of deaths by year (date, full name of deceased, sex, color, marital status, age, place of birth, cause of death, place of death, occupation, parents' names, parents place of birth, and date registered). Book plates with maker's marks are adhered to the insides of both covers.
