Description
Plaque given as a gift to Maurice Stans. The plaque consists of a 1" thick piece of wood shaped like a shield to which a bronze medallion and brass plate are attached. The medallion has a profile portrait of a male youth and the words "For Service to Youth" inscribed above his head. To the bottom right of the portrait is the YMCA logo. The brass plate is below the medallion and inscribed with the words, "To Maurice H. Stans In appreciation of significant service Board of Directors YMCA of Los Angeles Feb. 2, 1965". On the back of the wooden mount is a gold foil manufacturer's sticker which reads, "Designed by So. Calif. Trophy Co. 860 Flower Street Los Angeles, Calif. 90017 MA 3-3166".
