Description

Saki cup and box given to Maurice Stans as a gift. The 24k gold plated cup has an inscription engraved on the inside of the rim which reads, "S.T. Energy Evolution" at the top, and "Owners Associated Tankers Inc. Operators: Island Navigation Corporation" on the bottom." Also, in the center is a shield engraved with the initials BP. The box which holds the cup is hinged and has a black faux leather texture. There is an inscription pressed in the top and accented in gold which reads, "In commemoration of the Christening of S. T. "Energy Evolution" Owners: Associated Tankers Inc. Operators: Island Navigation Corporation." The interior of the box is lines in white satin and has a purple cotton cloth to accent the cup when placed inside. The bottom of the box base has a white office label which reads, "Gld. candle holder engraved S.T. "Energy Evolution" BP Owners: Assoc. Tankers Inc. June 1971".
