The box measures 8.125"w x 8"l. The ribbon measures 1.5"w x 71.5". The two cloth covers for the plate have a 5.5"diameter.
Description
Silver plate ashtray given to Maurice Stans. There is an inscription etched on the front in the center which reads, "E. R. T. Champion 1980-81 Maurice H. Stans". There is a silver sticker from the manufacturer on the back which reads, "Marengo Il silver Plate Ricci Argentieri in Alessandria". The ashtray is inside of a tan gift box with a logo for B.D.Howes and Son Jewelers. The logo has a shield with two Fleur d'lis inside it, a crown above it, and a banner around it which reads, "Silver-Jewels-Watches". There are also two thin brown cloth disks inside the box to cover the ashtray. Both of the cloth disks have the same logo for B.D. Howes and Son that is on the cover. There is a red ribbon inside the box as well, which probably tied around the box.Related People and Organizations
