Description

Ledger book kept by the Scott County Treasurer between 1881-1886. The book has hard tan fabric covers reinforced at the corners with brown leather, black leather and tan fabric spine, and bound paper pages. Stamped in gold on the spine is "Journal". Printed in blue and red on each page are a grid and page number. Handwritten in the ledger are lists of disbursements and credits earned with the county by individual towns, townships, and school districts. No maker's marks.
