Description
Wood and brass plaque presented to Maurice Stans. The plaque is made up of a brass plate set in a cast metal scroll and affixed to a wooden mount via four brass screws. There is an inscription etched into the brass plate which reads, "The Federal Government Accountant Association officially commends Maurice H. Stans. CPA Secretary of Commerce for his outstanding public service and his significant contributions to the advancement of financial management in government. Presented on the occasion of the FGAA 20th Annual National Symposium at which he delivered the keynote address on June 28, 1971 Washington. D.C. E. H. Morse Jr. President". There is also a raised seal for the Federal Government Accountants Association affixed to the top of the plaque. A sticker from the manufacturer is adhered to the bottom backside of the wooden mount which reads, "All-sports Awards, Inc. trophies-engraving specialty work 9709 Lee Highway- Fairfax, Virginia 22030 Phone: 591-5401".
