Description

Ledger of daily balances kept by the First National Bank of Shakopee. The book has hard black book cloth covers reinforced with black leather at the corners and spine. Adhered to the spine is a partial paper label that reads "Daily Bal Act (illegible) 10-18 (illegible)". The bound paper pages are printed in red and blue with lines and columns. Handwritten entries track the daily dollar amounts of currency, surplus, stock, bonds, real estate, bills received, gold, interest, exchange, amounts held at other banks, deposits, cash, taxes, expenses, and so on between October 18, 1873 and February 25, 1875. No maker's marks.
