Description
Bronze presidential commemorative coin made by the Franklin Mint The coin is accompanied by a case, stand, and paperwork which are all kept inside of a white storage box. The obverse of the coin has a relief portrait of President Richard M. Nixon with his name inscribed around him. The reverse has an elephant with three stars on its back surrounded by the inscription "Re-elect the President 1972". The coin is kept inside of a plastic case with a label which reads "With personal appreciation for your generous support of our 1972 campaign Richard Nixon" on the obverse, and "The official republican National Committee 1972 Presidential Campaign Medal Solid Bronze- Limited Edition Minted by the Franklin Mint." There are also instruction for assembling the stand and a card with a thank you note from Maurice Stans. The card letterhead reads, "Finance committee to Re-elect the President". Under the letterhead is an inscription which reads, "Many thanks for all your support Maurice H. Stans Chairman".
