Description

Inaugural coin for president Richard Nixon (A). The obverse side displays the seal of the President of the United States. Below the seal is the inscription, "Inaugurated January 20th 1969 A new day for America a new dawn for peace and freedom in the world. Richard M. Nixon". The reverse has a profile portrait of Richard Nixon and his name in relief on the left. The words "President of the United States appear at the perimeter above his head.
The coin is kept inside of a blue leather box (B). The box is hinged and the lid is lined inside with white satin. The base has an insert with blue flocking which has an indentation just the size of the coin which holds it securely in place.
