Description

A) Lapel pin with diamond in between the initials R.N. The year '72 appears just under the 'N'. 10k is stamped on the back of the pin. It belonged to Maurice Stans who worked on two Nixon presidential campaigns.
B) The pin's clutch is also gold and has a small nub at the end that releases the pin's needle when pulled. The pin was originally stored inside of a hinged black plastic box with a clear top (C). A note (D) which accompanied the pin reads in part, "Dear RN Associate: Enclosed is your membership pin for 1972. In this crucial year we are doubly appreciative of your support and encouragement." The signatures printed at the bottom of the note are from Marice H. Stans- Chairman, Finance Committee to Re-Elect the President, and Jeremiah Milbank Jr.- Chairman, Republican National Finance Committee.
