Description
Film splicer used by the Scott County Sheriff's Office to develop crime scene photographs. The object includes the splicer (A) and its packaging box (B-C). The splicer is light and dark gray plastic. Seen on the base are 12 small metal clips for holding 8mm, Super *, and 16mm film in place. Over the clips is a moveable arm with a metal blade that cuts the film. A maker's label is adhered to the facing top side of the arm. The packaging box consists of a molded plastic base and cardboard cover. The cardboard is covered with yellow paper. Printed in red, black and gray on the cover are maker's marks, illustrations of film reels, film sizes, and so on. Handwritten in blue ink on the facing top of the cover are "Bud H" and "Property of the Scott Co Sheriff".
