Description
Banner used by the Shakopee Rotary. The banner is made of white fabric painted with blue and red ink. The center of the banner has a chevron-shaped background divided diagonally from bottom left to top right, blue on the left and red on the right. The chevron is bordered with a red line. On the chevron is printed the Rotary International insignia above the word "Cahors", above another chevron of what appears to be a coat of arms: five gold fleur-de-lis above five pointed stone towers atop five stone arches. Beneath the coat of arms is "France". The coat of arms belongs to the city of Cahors, France, probably a sister city of Shakopee. A golden braided cord is sewn onto the left, bottom, and right sides of the banner. The rest of the cord is free from the top of the banner so it can be hung. No maker's marks.Geographic Notes
