Description
Otoscope used by Dr. Fred Buck in Shakopee to examine ears. The object consists of three parts, the otoscope, consisting of the head and power handle, and its box. The box (A) is consturcted of bakelite and is opened by a hinged door and clasp. The box also has premolded portions for accessories. The head (B) is constructed of a hollow metal cylinder containing a lightbulb and a movable magnifying lens. The power handle (C) is constructed of brass with a plastic power dial on top and is battery powered. Inscriptions on the dial read "WELCH ALLEN CO. AUBURN, N .Y." "OFF" and is marked "PAT.
