Description
Saw - Hay knife. 2 wooden handles attached to a large metal saw. This was used to cut hay out of the large loose stacks. It made removing hay easier. The 20" scalloped blade is riveted to the handles. "PAT. JULY 1788 SEP 30 1890" on the side. It is a right handed tool. One of the wooden handles is split down the middle.
