Description

Black and white albumen print of Fred and Elsie Kelly on their wedding day. The image is a studio portrait and the couple are seen standing next to one another. Elsie is wearing a light colored wedding gown. The gown consists of a blouse with a gathered neckline, three-quarter length sleeves and what appears to be a belt at the waist. The design of the blouse is a drop waist and its hem reaches the wearer's knees. The hem is also trimmed with a thick band of satin. Underneath the shirt is a floor length skirt of the same material. She is also wearing a cap style tulle veil and is holding a bouquet of flowers in her right hand. Fred is wearing a dark colored suit. A large corsage is pinned to his lapel jacket. A painted screen is visible in the background. Handwritten on the back of the image is "Fred Kelly/Elsie Hartmann Kelly/Donated by Mrs. R. Dehn/wedding photo - c.a. 1908/1910/Elsie from Shakopee."
