Description
This wooden ox yoke was used by Albert Nelson in Barsness township in 1866. This information is written in the middle of the Yoke along with the names Jim and Charley. We presume that those were the names of the oxen. The yoke is 56" long and 4" wide. In the middle is a large metal ring 6" in diameter. There are 2 u shaped pieces of wood which were used to hitch the oxen. They are 27" high and 10" wide.
