Description
Wooden butter churn. 27" high and 9.5" across at the top and 11" across at the base. It is fashioned of boards steamed into a slightly curved shape. There are 11 boards fitted together into a standing churn. The boards are bound together with switches of willow - no nails are used.
The dasher for churning the cream into butter is made of maple, The paddle is a 4 leaf clover design 7.5" across.
The cover is a circular piece of pine, 10" across.
