Description
One of the largest beaver ever trapped in this area is held above by Bud Phillips, right, Villard. Helping him hold the 73 pound animal aloft is Henry Nelson, also of Villard, who skinned it shortly after the picture was taken. The Beaver was twice as large as the average trapped. The hide is stretched and dried and sold to furriers, while the rest of the beaver is ground up and sold to mink farms.4x5 black and white Film Negative From the Pope County Tribune.
