Description

Tin comb case or holder; painted red with a floral decal on the back plate; back plate has scalloped sides; rectangular box attached to front.

Hung in the kitchen in Anton and Minnie Mau's Rendsville Township home, used to hold combs and other small accessories. Probably re-painted and decorated with decal by Minnie Mau, back plate shows traces of two small trays (?) that have been removed.

Badly soiled with thick deposits of grease; bottom of tray is badly corroded. Case was cleaned immediately after it was received, but the top coat of paint is slightly soluable in water so cleaning was not completed.
