Floor length wedding veil of silk net edged with imported French lace; headpiece is gathered to form a ruffle around the face; veil trailed on the floor when worn.

Veil was worn at wedding of Clara A. Anderson and Harry Roberts, 21 June 1934. Married at the church at Clinton because Reque church didn’t have a pastor at that time. Pastor Paul Reque (nephew of Peder Reque) married the couple. Paul Reque is buried at Emmanual Church, rural Benson.

Veil was designed and sewn by Clara’s sister, Alys Anderson. Alys also sewed her own and her mother’s dress for the wedding. Since there was no electricity on the farm, the gown was sewn by lamplight. Gown was worn with the gown 87.9.6 and a string of pearls.
