Description
Ladder hook. This hook is steel and consists of two narrow irons. One iron slides through an oblong opening or passage in the other. Fully extended, the length is approximately 40". It is 29" long when fully retracted. There are 13 notches in a 14" length to regulate the length of the hook. There are hooks on both ends. The larger hook drops over the ridgeboar and the lower one attaches to the rung of the ladder, holding it in place and making roof work safer. This hook was used by carpenter John Brainard.
