Description
For the third straight year, farmer members of Barness Lutheran church are planting crops to swell the church building fund. On 78 acres rented from N.P. (Nobby) Halvorson in Barsness township, the church members plant beans, flax and oats and when the crop is harvested and marketed, turn the money over to the church building fund. This year's crop swelled the treasury by over $1,600. Last week, nine members plowed the land to get it ready for next spring's planting. Driving the tractors were Joe Gandrud, Orville Pladson, Abner Ogdahl, Marvin Feigum, Franklin Pladson, Lanny Barsness, Herman Dalager and Carl Olson.
