Description
Glass inkwell; tapers from a wide base to a narrow neck; glass has a green tint with several bubbles in it; the word “SANFORD’S”, an “8”, and a “12” are molded into the bottom; dug up by the donor in his garden at 857 5th St. in Hancock, the site of the original Hancock Public School.

Glass is crazed in places, with mineral deposits on the interior.
