Description
Tall stoppered green glass bottle which was made in Italy and which was reputed by the donor’s family to have been owned by Ida Hancock, and was among the things left in her home to be picked through by friends and neighbors at the time of her passing in late 1951. This bottle and 2014.4.10 were claimed by the Donald Smith family at that time as the story goes. The plastic stopper ring on bottle 2014.4.10 indicates that they may have been manufactured later than 1951, making the stated provenance somewhat suspect. Whether the lore is true or not, this and bottle 2014.4.10 were used to display Peacock feathers, which the Smith family raised on their farm in Stevens County. Stoppered top is missing.
