Description
Sausage stuffer and meat chopper used by Arne Holtberg. Holtberg operated a meat market in Lowry from 1919-1944. Mounted on a stand of cast iron 11" in height is a cylinder of cast iron 23" long and 7" in diameter. It is held by a band through the center. A hear is housed in a fluted protector with 2 hand grips for turning. Within is a cogged wheel which is turned by a 10" long handle. The handle has a wooden grip. The words "No 1 Wagner stuffer" are embossed on top of the device. A wrench is attached. This device was used to stuff ground meat into natural casings of intestines.
