Description

This two-piece orange knit dress was made in 2 pieces... a bodice and a skirt.
a. The bodice has short sleeves and a standard knit collar with rounded corners. The front neck opening extends down 7 inches from the collar and is bordered by a strip of open-knit for the purpose of inserting a tie string to enclose the neck opening. Attached to this is a 36 inch tie string made of the same orange yarn.
b. The skirt of the dress is made of the same orange yarn as the bodice. It is 31 inches long and 25 inches wide at the hem. At the waist is a 1/2 inch band with a tie inserted into a looped piece for 'tightening' the skirt at the waist. The skirt is slightly gored. The knitting shows 8 triangular pieced inserted on the bottom portion of the skirt to create the gored effect. Along the bottom of the skirt is a 1/2 inch knitted edging.
