Description

This telegraph key is referred to as "bug". The base of the key is made of black cast iron 1/2 inch thick with 3 round 'feet' at the bottom. The telegraph key itself is made of stainless steel with a number of connecting parts, including 9 adjustment screws. The hand pad is made of black plastic and is 1 inch in diameter. There is a gold metal label attached to the cast iron base. It has an oval logo at the top and reads, "Patented 156927 VIBROPLEX, The Vibroplex Company, Inc., 633 Broadway, New York, NY. Two short blue wire pieces were included as accessories to the telegraph key. Also included was a black wire with an brown cylinder, 2 inches long and a brass metal piece, 1/2 " x 2" , bent and attached together in 3 layers.
