Description
Used by troops to survey activity in the “no-man’s land” between opposing trenches without exposing their heads to enemy sniper fire during the trench warfare that took place during World War I. Mirror would have been placed on the end of a bayonet and raised above ground level. Purchased as part of the original War Memorial Room (WRCC) collection.
