Description
This WWI helmet has a small dent in the outside domed surface. It is painted army green, but has lots of rust. The inside lining is made of a circular strap of dark brown leather with an attached cotton netting of white thread that is gathered with a length of cotton thread. The lining is attached to the helmet with more leather pieces. The chin strap is made of strips of 3/4 inch leather riveted to the sides of the helmet. There is a metal buckle to hold the chin strap together.
