Description
Framed collage of seven Confederate notes and one large $100 bond certificate brought to Minnesota in 1866 by Patrick Scanlan of Alexandria, Virginia. The land bank in Forest City reportedly took some of it at a discount to pay for land on Ramsey Lake. In wood and glass frame with rope hanger. Handwritten index card label in bottom left corner under glass with description of currency.
